CITV is the award-winning channel that inspires and entertains Britain’s children, broadcasting from 6am to 9pm every day (6pm in Freeview homes). CITV is the home of the nation’s favourite kids’ programmes. CITV won two BAFTAs in 2017: Best Entertainment Show for Bear Grylls Survival School and Best Short Form for Share A Story 2017.

In Freeview hours, CITV in 2017 was the second biggest commercial kids channel for Children 4-12. For the Freeview hours (06:00-17:59) it averaged 4.1% share for Children 4-12. It was flat YOY in terms of share. It consolidated to 0.5% (0.6% in 2016 for Individuals and 4.8% for Children 6-12.

The most watched programme on CITV in 2017 was Horrid Henry, which attracted an audience of 252k and a 2.6% share for Individuals, and 147k and a 15.5% share for Children. The second most watched was Mr Bean: The Animated Series, which delivered an audience of 226k and a 2.9% share for Individuals, and 113k and a 10.8% share for Children.

We continue to show quality kids programming, including the third series of Thunderbirds are Go, which returns in spring 2018.

Brand new shows for 2018 include Spy School, which launched during Scrambled! with an audience of 99k and 0.2% for Individuals, and Robozuna which launches in autumn 2018.

Simulcast on main channel at weekends allows CITV to broaden its reach still further; with Scrambled! being uniquely produced to wrap up the biggest weekly programmes. The ITV Hub also live streams CITV to anyone watching online throughout the day, and provides a home to catch up on CITV’s favourite programmes.
